Crane Access
Often a mobile crane will need to be driven onto a site where it will set up for the purpose of unloading trucks delivering supplies to the site. The crane may need to drive across grass ovals, parklands, asphalt basketball courts, or artificial surfaces to get into position. Most of these surfaces are not designed to withstand such topical pressure and will need surface reinforcement to disperse the loads and prevent damage. Grass is more susceptible when its wet and asphalt when it is hot. Our heavy duty portable roadways can assist these applications by providing a protective load dispersing barrier between the vehicle and the underlying surface.
